Bidders are hereby invited for ELECTRICAL COMPLIANCE TEST ON THE ERWAT SLUDGE PUMP STATION HARTEBEESTFONTEIN WWCW

 

Scope of work:

 

The scope of work shall include (but not limited to):

The electrical compliance test on the Hartebeestfontein sludge pump station:

  1. The supplier is required to do electrical compliance test on the installation.

  2. If it is compliant, a certificate of compliance must be issued.

  3. If it is not compliant, a report on what needs to make the installation compliant must be submitted.

  4. The report must include all the readings and tests as required by “SECTION 2 – INSTALLATION” of the certificate of compliance.

  General Requirements:

  1. The test required will follow the format of the Electrical certificate of compliance.

  2. All tests that required the power to be tripped, switched off or disconnected, will only be done on prior arrangement.

  3. A detailed report must be aligned with the Electrical certificate of compliance format.

  4. The report containing the reasons for the non-compliance and the remedial action that must to be taken to rectify this situation has to be submitted to Erwat within two weeks from the completion of the tests.

  5. The supplier must also submit a quote for the remedial work with the report.

  6. This report will be the property of Erwat and can be used to obtain quotations in the public domain for any repairs, upgrades or modifications that may be required.

  7. Erwat reserves the right to appoint a service provider of their choice to do any repairs, upgrades or modifications that may be required in order to make the electrical installation compliant.

  8. Project manager must be an Electrician registered with department of labour. Non-compliance will lead to disqualification.

  9. Proof of registration for the registered person must be submitted.

  10. Lead time on availability shall be specified.

  11. Please note this is a three phase installation and wireman’s licence refers to the applicable qualification.

     

NB: Bidders whom do not meet the above general requirements will not be considered.

Quotation Requirements:

 

Work offered that DO NOT comply with the specifications will not be evaluated. The successful bidder must register on the ERWAT vendors list. Forms to be downloaded from the ERWAT website. Quotation evaluation shall be performed on Functionality Criteria (Minimum Functionality scoring 80%) and  80:20 principle (pricing and functionality 80% and BBBEE 20%)

GENERAL NOTES

Completed tenders / quotations must be in a sealed envelope clearly marked with contract number and description and to be hand delivered, in the TENDER BOX at the FOYER at ERWAT Head Office, Bapsfontein road, Kempton Park.  No e-mail or faxed bids/proposals shall be accepted.  Bids/Proposals that are not received on the specific time and date will be marked as late bids/proposals and such bids/proposals will, in terms of the Supply Chain Management Policy of ERWAT, not be considered by ERWAT as valid bids/proposals.

Complete quotation with supporting documents must be sealed and externally endorsed with CONTRACT NUMBER and marked DESCRIPTION and placed in the Bid Box identified “Thursday” at ERWAT Head Office, Bapsfontein Road, Kempton Park, not later than 12H00 on 01 March 2018
