Scope of work:

 

Bids are hereby invited to tender on; Design and build an emergency water supply system at ERWAT Hartebeesfontein Office Park.  The conceptual framework is detailed in the scope of work;

 

 The scope of work shall include (but not limited to):

  1. The system must include the following  minimum requirements;

     

  1. Water tank storage for two day bases on an average monthly consumption.

  2. Supply and circulation pumps to maintain pressure and circulate in case of low or no use.

  3. Pressure control system.

  4. Inline filtrations system on out from the water tank storage.

  5. All the electrical, mechanical, Instrumentation and civil requirement for 24/7/365 fully automated operation.

  6. The installation must include a main inlet isolation valve to be installed in incoming water line. This must include the excavation and all backfilling required for all related components

  7. The installation must include an outlet isolation valve pipe by pass system to enable system maintenance

  8. The installation must include two 5000 litre tanks

  9. The installation must include a concrete slab that all installed equipment will be mounted on, structure must have sufficient clearance area for all maintenance activities.

  10. The installation must include the main the main supply breaker in feeder DB board and the supply cable to the main pump control panel.

  11. Main Control pump panel must be contained in a suitable size IP 65 enclosure mounted on a freestanding stand. This enclosure must be of a double door design with a blank outer door all controls on an inner panel

  12. The system must include adjustable pressure regulation system that has an inlet and outlet pressure indication

  13. Training manual and standard operating procedures must be submitted.

  General Requirements:

  1. The supplier must have in their employment one electrical and one mechanical professional engineers/ Technicians registered with ECSA.

 

 

 

Quotation Requirements:

 

Work offered that DO NOT comply with the specifications will not be evaluated. The successful bidder must register on the ERWAT vendors list. Forms to be downloaded from the ERWAT website. Quotation evaluation shall be performed on 80:20 principle (pricing and functionality 80% and BBBEE 20%)

Maximum of 20 points may be awarded for being HDI, subcontracting with an HDI, and/or achieving specified goals.

Above points must be added to points scored for price.

Only bidder with the highest points scored may be selected.

GENERAL NOTES

Completed tenders / quotations must be in a sealed envelope clearly marked with contract number and description and to be hand delivered, in the TENDER BOX at the FOYER at ERWAT Head Office, Bapsfontein road, Kempton Park.  No e-mail or faxed bids/proposals shall be accepted.  Bids/Proposals that are not received on the specific time and date will be marked as late bids/proposals and such bids/proposals will, in terms of the Supply Chain Management Policy of ERWAT, not be considered by ERWAT as valid bids/proposals.

Complete quotation with supporting documents must be sealed and externally endorsed with CONTRACT NUMBER and marked DESCRIPTION and placed in the Bid Box identified “FRIDAY” at ERWAT Head Office, Bapsfontein Road, Kempton Park, not later than 12H00 on 17 November 2017

NB: Bidders will not be allowed on any of the ERWAT sites without a work permit and the correct PPE gear.

GENERAL NOTES:

All bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope, clearly marked with the relevant bid number and description that must be deposited in the relevant tender box on the said closing date on or before 12:00 pm

No late bids will be accepted or considered.

Bidders are required to ensure that their bid is deposited in the correct bid box that is marked Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. 

The closing date will be the indication for which tender box day is relevant.
