Scope of Work:

 

 

  1. Deliver Four (4) TSS Portable handheld meters to ERWAT DD5 WWTW complete with TSS portable hand-held Turbidity, Suspended solids and sludge blanket level system; includes meter, probe, rechargeable batteries, charger for rechargeable batteries with four plug adapters, manual, quick start guide and carry case.

  2. Provide training to operating personnel from Four (4) water works on the use of instrument at JP Marais on the dates to be specified.

3     General Conditions

  1. The Contractor must have registered vehicle for transportation of instruments to JP Marais WWCW.

  2. Contractor must be:

    3.1 Registered at Workman Compensation Commissioner and submit a letter of good standing.

    3.2 In compliance with terms and conditions of the OHS Act as well as COID Act and ensure that all conditions and requirements are adhered to at all times.

    4.    The Contractor takes full responsibility for the safety and health requirements of his/her employees and indemnifies Council and ERWAT from any claim whatsoever emanating from the operations.

    5.    The Contractor must submit proof of Public Indemnity Insurance and maintain it for the duration of the contract period. The Contractor further accepts full responsibility for damages, theft, injury, and death whatsoever caused to the general public or his employees during operations. The contractor will resolve all claims professionally and rapidly within one week.

    6.    Delivery to be effected ASAP after issuing of official Purchase order.

    7.    The Contractor shall provide a written invoice to ERWAT in terms of work executed.

 

Quotation Requirements:

 

Work offered that DO NOT comply with the specifications will not be evaluated. The successful bidder must register on National Treasury’s Centralised Supplier Database (www.csd.gov.za). Quotation evaluation shall be performed on 80:20 principle (pricing and functionality 80% and BBBEE 20%)

    NB: Bidders will not be allowed on any of the Erwat sites without the correct PPE gear.

 

GENERAL NOTES

Completed tenders / quotations must be in a sealed envelope clearly marked with contract number and description and to be hand delivered, in the TENDER BOX at the FOYER at ERWAT Head Office, Bapsfontein road, Kempton Park.  No e-mail or faxed bids/proposals shall be accepted.  Bids/Proposals that are not received on the specific time and date will be marked as late bids/proposals and such bids/proposals will, in terms of the Supply Chain Management Policy of ERWAT, not be considered by ERWAT as valid bids/proposals.

Complete quotation with supporting documents must be sealed and externally endorsed with CONTRACT NUMBER and marked DESCRIPTION and placed in the Bid Box identified “MONDAY” at ERWAT Head Office, Bapsfontein Road, Kempton Park, not later than 12H00 on 12 MARCH 2018
