Bids are hereby invited for:

Accredited service provider to offer fleet efficient road assistance service that will aid in ensuring that our fleet and finances stay on the right track.

Scope of work

The vendor should be available for 24 hours a day for six months to all our plants fleet and be easily accessible through call centre.

  • Emergency Medical Assistance referral of emergency vehicle.

  • Patrol and Battery service – respond within 45 minutes

  •  Mechanical and electrical breakdown tow (06 x commercial trucks included)

  •  Accident tow management. (100 Kilometers round trip)

  • Fuel assist (up to 10 litres)

  • Locksmith – key lock out;

  • Provide 24 hours telephonic and email support;

  • Update on ETA every 30 Minutes;

  • Emergency stand by you

  • Service should be based on a 6% utilisation

  • No limit on usage, apart from fuel assist, which should be limited to 2 x per vehicle per annum.

  • Erwat emergency “dedicated line” should be supplied.

 

Qualification criteria:

 

  • Potential tenderers should be able to offer fleet efficient roadside assistance 24 hours for six months.

  • Should be accredited with Automobile association of Assistance;

  • Should be accredited to Department of Labour

  • Service should meet the specified quality and safety standards;

  • Service provider should make use of certified technicians with the experience of working on different make vehicles day in and day out;

  • Should have model by model knowledge and expertise to fix problems first time, every time with specialist vehicles diagnostic equipment.

  • Should have knowledge of customer service exercises to ensure complete peace of mind

  • Should be flexible to remove vehicles and add vehicles any time

  • Should be registered with Central supplier’s data base

Quotation Requirements:

 

Work offered that DO NOT comply with the specifications will not be evaluated. The successful bidder must register on the ERWAT vendors list. Forms to be downloaded from the ERWAT website. Quotation evaluation shall be performed on 80:20 principles (pricing and functionality 80% and BBBEE 20%)

  • Valid Certified copy or original BBBEE Compliance Certificate;
  • Valid Tax Clearance Pin issued by SARS on e-filing;
  • Copy of Latest Municipal Account (not older than three months from date of closing);
  • Declaration of Interest – MBD 4.2

NB: Bidders will not be allowed on any of the ERWAT sites without a work permit and the correct PPE gear.

  • ERWAT reserves the right to not accept the lowest bid, to award the quote to more than one bidder, to award the quote in part or to not award it at all and bidders will have no claim of any kind in this regard.

  • Quotations that are not received on the specific date and time, will be marked as late responses and such quotations will, in terms of the Supply Chain Management Policy of ERWAT, not be considered by ERWAT as valid
