Scope of work:

Bids are hereby invited for the FIBER OPTIC INSTALLATION AT HARTEBEESTFONTEIN OFFICE PARK

Scope of work is (But not limited to) the following:

  • Supply and install fiber cable for erwat head office block-A and block-B .

 Block-A:

  • Fiber termination box must be install in the main generator, then install media convertor from fiber to ethernet.

  • The fiber shall run from generator to block-A first floor panel.

  • Inside the panel a switch must be installed which will have a SFP port and an Ethernet port.

  • The SFP shall run fiber to the server room and the Ethernet cable must be connected to existing power meters inside the ground floor panel.

  • The fiber going to the server room shall be connected to a SFP transceiver.

Block-B:

  • Media   convertor from fiber to ethernet shall be installed inside the first/ground floor panel

  • Fiber shall run from the panel to  Technical printer room HP switch

General:

  • All fiber  must run through a sleeve. 

  • The media convertor must support multiple converters - 10/100/1000Mbps, copper, Fiber, single/multi-mode ST/SC/MTRJ connectors

  • All other Smart meters must be connected from media convertor to Ethernet ports.

 

Quotation Requirements:

 

Work offered that DO NOT comply with the specifications will not be evaluated. The successful bidder must register on the ERWAT vendors list. Forms to be downloaded from the ERWAT website. Quotation evaluation shall be performed on 80:20 principle (pricing and functionality 80% and BBBEE 20%)

GENERAL NOTES

Completed tenders / quotations must be in a sealed envelope clearly marked with contract number and description and to be hand delivered, in the TENDER BOX at the FOYER at ERWAT Head Office, Bapsfontein road, Kempton Park.  No e-mail or faxed bids/proposals shall be accepted.  Bids/Proposals that are not received on the specific time and date will be marked as late bids/proposals and such bids/proposals will, in terms of the Supply Chain Management Policy of ERWAT, not be considered by ERWAT as valid bids/proposals.

Complete quotation with supporting documents must be sealed and externally endorsed with CONTRACT NUMBER and marked DESCRIPTION and placed in the Bid Box identified “Thursday” at ERWAT Head Office, Bapsfontein Road, Kempton Park, not later than 12H00 on 21 November 2017
